FRIAS, Ferdinand
With great sadness in our hearts we his family announces the passing of Ferdinand Balmeo Frias, 42 years of age of Saskatoon, SK on June 3, 2009 at St. Paul's Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.
Ferdinand is survived by his loving wife, Janet; son, Ian; daughters, Janyne and Janelle; his loving mother, Sonia; uncles, Albert Balmeo (Virginia) of Saskatoon, Alex and Frankie Balmeo of Philippines; mother-in-law, Aniceta; sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He was predeceased by his grandma, Leonora Balmeo who took care of him at a young age. He was born in Caloocan City, Philippines to Sonia Balmeo and Macario Frias on August 5, 1966. He came to Canada in 1980 to join his mother who immigrated to Canada in 1975. He went to Bedford Road Collegiate and Robertson College where he got his diploma in Computer Accounting. He met his wife Janet in Toronto, married and settled in Saskatoon.
He will be dearly missed as a dedicated, hard working, loving and caring man by his family and friends. A jolly good Ferdie who loved to take his family camping, doing his favorite sports like golf and tennis. His dedication to his business venture, hanging out with his friends, making music, his love of collecting movies, original CD's of concerts, cards, and most of all his generosity and love for his mother, beloved wife and children will always remain in our hearts.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Cancer Clinic, Royal University Hospital, and Palliative Care of St. Paul's Hospital, doctors, nurses and staff, and to Parkridge Centre, to co-workers and friends. A Public Viewing will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK on Thursday, June 11, 2009 and Friday, June 12, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 12 o'clock midnight, and a Vigil for Ferdinand will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., lead by Rev.
