MURPHY, TODD MONTAGUE May 14th, 1966 - April 29th, 2013
Todd passed away peacefully in Saskatoon at the age of 46, of a brain tumour.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Jane (Campbell) Murphy; Jack and Louise (Green) Thomson; and brother-in-law, Allan Euteneier. He leaves his loving and caring wife, Laurie (Euteneier) Murphy and his two wonderful daughters, Kimberly and Emily Murphy; his parents, Monty and Carol (Thomson) Murphy; sister, Sherry (Kerry) Ruddick, and their son, Jeremy, step- daughter, Erin Eichhorn; brother, Greg Murphy and his daughter, Stephanie; Laurie's parents, Aaron and Mary (Schneider) Euteneier; her sister-in-law, Sandy Euteneier; brothers, Randy (Mary) Euteneier, Richard (Jill) Euteneier, Kelly (Louise) Euteneier, and Mark (Roxanne) Euteneier; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, plus many aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides.
Todd was born and raised in Saskatoon. He was a student of Henry Kelsey Public School and Bedford Road Collegiate. He loved trucks and fulfilled his dream by working at Thomson's Delivery Ltd. until 2011. In his spare time he fixed up old trucks, and his 1976 Camero. He and Kimberly restored his 1979 Ford half-ton (3rd generation truck) which they gave to Kimberly for Grade 12 graduation present.
He and Laurie moved to the acreage in 2003 and enjoyed raising horses for Kimberly and Emily to ride, cats for Emily, a quiet setting for BBQ's for their friendly neighbors and friends. His passion was snow plowing with his bobcat, following in his grandfather's, father's and father-in-law's footsteps. He got the swimming pool ready each year for the family to enjoy.
We would especially like to give gratitude to his wonderful doctor team of Dr. Meguro, Dr. Pearl, all the staff of 6300 RUH and the team at the Cancer Clinic. They worked very hard at giving him these last two years with his family. The Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th at Mayfair United Church with Rev. Deb Walker and Rev. Cathy Coates presiding. A private family interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (301-620 Colborne Street, London, ON N6B 9Z9) or Mayfair United Church (902-33rd Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7L 0W6).
