1937-11-08 2007-06-03
ENS, Eva (Luschyk)
Passed quietly on to her heavenly home on June 3, 2007 at the age of 69 years, following a short courageous battle with cancer.
Her childhood was spent on the family farm in the Struan/Sonningdale area. She attended Bedford Road and Tech Collegiate. Following this she was employed in retail sales and insurance. After her marriage to Harold in 1959 she became a wonderful homemaker. She taught Sunday School, always supported and attended her family's activities in clubs, sports and church functions. Eva's flower garden was a hummingbird haven. Bird watching, gardening and bowling, were special to her. She was well-known as a great cook, often mixing her Ukrainian dinners with the German Mennonite menu to offer an absolutely great feast.
Eva is survived by her loving husband, Harold; three children, Lori (Wayne) Heaslip, Vancouver, Darryl Ens, Vancouver, and Darwin Ens, Calgary; one grandchild, Paige Heaslip; brothers, Jack (Mary), Courtney, Nick (Rita), Creston; sisters, Gladys (Bob) Pulak, Calgary; Eva also leaves Harold's extended family and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Katie (Borisenko) Luschyk.
The Service of Celebration of Eva's Life will be held on Friday June 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from Westgate Alliance Church, 3315 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon with Pastor Frank Jeske officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Vision, Box 1000 STN Streetsville, Mississauga, Ontario L5M 9Z9 or Canadian Cancer Society, 438 2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2C3. Arrangements are in care of DALMENY FUNERAL HOME. 254-2022
