Harold Adrian, 92, passed away peacefully in Royal University Hospital on Thursday April 26th, 2007 with his family at his side.
Harold was predeceased by his father, Maurice Benjamin Morpurgo, a dental surgeon and veteran of WW1; his mother, Helen Margaret; and son, David. Harold will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 69 years, Marie; by his sons, Wayne (Kathleen), Gary, Brian (Shannon), Al (Terri); numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in Saskatoon and attended Bedford Road Collegiate. He married Marie in 1938, enlisted in the Airforce in 1939 and served as a radar technician overseas till 1945 when he returned from overseas he joined the Saskatchewan Liquor Board. He retired from the SLB in 1979.
Dad and Mom enjoyed their summers traveling Saskatchewan from Lake Manitou, to Waskesiu, wintering in Arizona and Hawaii. An outdoor enthusiast, Dad enjoyed fishing and camping. His hobbies included tinkering with cars, fixing radios and television sets for friends and neighbors. Dad was also an avid reader. Pops will always be remembered and loved by his boys for lending an ear and a helping hand when required especially when they started their own families.
A special thank-you to the staff at Royal University Hospital, unit 4, on the Medicine wing. Also for the friendship and support of their old friends and new friends at Carlton towers. We love you Pops! A celebration of Harold's life will be held Monday April 30, 2007 from 2:00 4:00 p.m. at Carleton Towers (325 5th Ave. North, Saskatoon, SK). Arrangements have been entrusted to John Janex, McKague's Funeral Chapel, 664-3131.
