FOLK, Janet Kerr (nee Bell) November 23, 1915 - March 14, 2007
(Jen, Jennie) passed away on March 14, 2007 with her oldest son Mervyn, his wife Frances, and Jen's youngest son David by her side.

Jen was predeceased by her husband, Alexander (Alex) in 1994. She is survived by her five children: Marlene (Allan James) Monk of Calgary, Mervyn (Frances) of Saskatoon, Ronald (Sue) of Odessa, Texas, Richard (Elizabeth) of Kelowna, and David (Elaine) of Saskatoon; 14 grandchildren, Kathryn, Carrie and Joel Monk, Randy, Debbie, Charlene, Robert and Daniel; Cynthia and Brian; Kevin and Andrea; and Kelly and Palmer; as well as 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Lil Calhoun, Gerry (Russ) Hoffman; and one brother, Bill (Bev) Bell; sisters-in-law, Anne Folk and Jean Bell.

Janet was predeceased by her mother, Jessie; father, Adam Bell; sisters, Mina Shields, Marg Guiteau, Doreen Shanofer, Gwen Keymer, Jean Burrows; and brother, Jack Bell.

Janet was born in 1915 in Scotland and came to Canada when she was four years old. She attended Wilson Public School and Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon. In her younger years, Janet was an outstanding athlete, specializing in softball and in later years enjoyed golf and curling. Janet's life was centered around her family, especially her love for her children. After husband Alex's retirement Janet enjoyed her time at Waskesiu and Palm Desert California.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Stensrud Lodge for their wonderful care of our mother and grandmother. The Funeral Service and a Celebration of Janet's Life will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338-4th Avenue North on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
