RANDALL, Marion 1911 - 2006
Marion Randall, nee Colwill, of Saskatoon, SK, passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital on Monday, November 6, 2006 at age 95.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Luker (James Glenn) of Salt Spring Island, BC and children, Kirsten and Kris of Victoria, BC; son, Arthur (Patricia) Randall of Saskatoon, SK; sister, Roberta Jean Robson of Edmonton, AB; sister-in-law, Edith Kasick of Richmond, BC; nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Edward Arthur (Ted) in 1995; parents, Edna Colwill Cairns in 1981 and Leslie Colwill in 1933.
Marion was born in Saskatoon on May 9, 1911 where she received her Commercial Diploma at Bedford Road Collegiate in 1928. She was a career woman most of her life, retiring proudly from her position as Executive Secretary at National Drugs in 1976. Following their retirement, Marion and Ted enjoyed winters in Arizona, where they continued to indulge in their passion for Square Dancing. Marion enjoyed her last years at Luther Riverside Terrace, and continued her life long association with St. Thomas Wesley United Church. We will remember her as the fiercely independent, strong, resilient, loving and kind woman that she was.
The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Margaret McKechney, will be held at PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL (311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon) at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2006. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Wesley United Church, 808 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Y3.
