The family of George Michael 'Mike' Hargreaves sadly announce his passing on Monday, September 4, 2006 after a brief illness.

He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeanne (Pritchard); and his children, Lynda (Bob) Miller of Prince Albert, Jill (Bryan) Robertson of Regina, Joanne (Jim) Wheler, Barb (Brian) Peberdy, and Dave (Kim) Hargreaves, all of Saskatoon; his fourteen grandchildren, Drew (Sarah), Jana, Adam, Chad, Travis, Jessica, Matthew (Coralie), Stephanie (Kevin), Tanner, Lisa, Brett, Claire, Alana, and Bailey; his great-grandson, Emerson; his sister, Joy Watt of Yellowknife. He was predeceased by his parents, Glen Helen and Alfred Hargreaves; his brother, Eric; sisterin-law, Beryl; and brother-in-law, Erik Watt.

Dad was born on April 22, 1927 in Saskatoon. He attended Caswell School and Bedford Road Collegiate. In his early teens he started working in the family business, A. Hargreaves Printing Co. Dad and his brother Eric served the community's printing needs for over forty years. Dad was very proud of his family and cherished family gatherings. He had a wide range of interests including camping, golfing, crafts, photography, tropical fish and computers. He was an honorary lifetime member of Riverside Badminton Club, having served as coach, president and player. Hawaiian holidays and winters in California were among Dad's favorite memories. Dad and Mom spent their last few weeks camping in the beauty of Waskesiu Lake.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Dad's life on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Timothy's Anglican Church (2101 Lansdowne Avenue, Saskatoon). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation or CARG (Coronary Artery Rehabilitation Group), c/o 2020 College Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 2W4.
