STADNYK, Walter (Country) Cameron
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Walter Stadnyk announce his death. Walter passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, February 14, 2005 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Walter was 70 years young.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2005 in St. Patrick's Parish, 3339 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon.
Dad will be forever remembered by his family sons: Garry, Glenn, Gerald (Shannon), Gord and Greg (Colleen) and only daughter Pam and by the mother of his children Iris Stadnyk. Also left to cherish his memories are grandchildren: Crystal, Dustin, Laura, Travis, Jennie, Tyler, Ashley, Ryan, Jordan and T.J. Wally was also survived by sisters: Mary-Lou (Al) Paulsen, Arlene (Joe) Karapinka, and several nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his mother Alice and father Dave Stadnyk.
Walter was born to Dave and Alice Stadnyk on December 10, 1934 in Laniwci, Saskatchewan. Walter attended Bedford Road Collegiate and was very instrumental in the development of the Radio Industry in general where he was the voice of the Saskatoon Blades or could be heard on his Radio Show Let's Go West, or be heard singing along as he hosted the Saturday Night Dance Party at the Manhattan Ballroom. We will miss you Dad, Grandpa, and friend.
