It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Nina Florence Mary (Beerling) Dennison, age 91, on Thursday, December 30, 2004, at St. Paul"s Hospital.

Nina was born in Kent, England on September 22, 1913 and came to Saskatoon in April of 1920. She lived in the Mayfair area and attended Mayfair School and Bedford Road Collegiate Institute. She married Daniel (Bud) Dennison on January 1, 1941 at Christ Church in Saskatoon.

Nina was the past president and life member of the Local Council of Women and also served on the Provincial and National Executive of the Council of Women. She was a member of the Anglican Church Women since 1941 serving on parish, deanery and diocesan levels. She had a life long interest in the Girl Guides which she joined in 1925. She served in various levels of the movement throughout the years. She was a member of Tryfoil Guild and was involved in many community projects including Century Saskatoon Celebration and volunteering for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Nina is survived by her children, Daniel (Valerie) of Saskatoon, SK, Margaret (Harvey) Wudrick of Cambridge, ON; daughter-in-law, Sharon Dennison of Saskatoon, SK; two grandsons, Robert and Michael; three granddaughters, Danita (Dwayne) Vandale, Ronda Dennison and Rosemarie Hunter; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two nieces and three nephews and their families, all in England as well as some cousins in Canada.

Nina was predeceased by her husband, Bud (July 10, 1992); her son, Thomas (January 27, 1998); two brothers, Frank and Raymond; one sister in infancy; and her parents, Darcy and Valentina.
A Funeral Service will be held for Nina on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Church (515 28th Street West) with Reverend Matthew Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Larry Matisho of McKAGUE'S FUNERAL CHAPEL (664-3131)
