It is with sadness that we announce that our Father and Grandfather, Henry Bainbridge Moore, Jr. (Harry) passed away on April 17, 1992 in Saskatoon. He was born in England on May 20, 1911 to Henry Bainbridge and Alice Moore, immigrated to Canada with them and settled near Saskatoon in 1912. Harry was predeceased by his parents, sister Evelyn, in-laws and brother-in-law Percy King. He is survived by his wife Helena, his sister Kathleen, brothers George and Ernie, two sons: Russ, his wife Faye and their daughters Susan, and Roberta of Regina; Roy, his wife Kerrie and their children Rhett, Cale and Mackenzie of Calgary, Alberta.
Harry attended Smithville Elementary School just west of Saskatoon in the RM of Cory and Bedford Road Collegiate where he met his wife Helena. Harry began working at the Quaker Oats Company in 1928 and was employed with the City of Saskatoon for twenty-two years retiring in 1976. Dad enlisted with the RCAF during the Second War and we’re all proud of his sacrifice and service to Canada. He was a member of St. Thomas-Wesley United Church and provided great support to Helena in all of her activities.
Dad was very proud of the accomplishments of his two sons, their wives, and grandsons, Rhett and Cale and his granddaughters Mackenzie, Susan and Roberta.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 21, 1992 and Harry will be buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.
