Neufeld, Colleen - The death of Miss Colleen Valerie Neufeld, age 21 years, of 1511 Avenue G North, Saskatoon occurred accidentally on April 29, 1979. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 1st at 3:30pm from Westwood Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. S, Dingwall. (Cremation). Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Neufeld, 3 sisters, Mrs. W.M (Julie) Fullop, Saskatoon, Mrs. B. (Doreen) Zacharias, Martensville and Brenda (at home), 1 brother, Ivan (Kathy) of Saskatoon. The late Miss Neufeld was born in Saskatoon and lived all of her short life here. She attended Mayfair Elementary school and Bedford Road Collegiate and was attending the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in Moose Jaw at the time of her passing. In lieu of flowers , memorial donations may be made to Canadian Save the Children Fund, 2022 Sommerfield Avenue, would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Westwood Funeral Chapel.
Side: The driver that hit Colleen's car was charged with criminal negligence in connection with the accident. Her sister, Brenda (passenger) survived serious injury and resides in Saskatoon.
