Daniel David Driedger - May 12, 1962 October 30, 2004 - The Lord took Dan home after a massive heart attack on Saturday, October 30. His funeral took place on Thursday, November 4 in his home community of Savona, BC. He was only with us 42 short years but he touched many lives with his generosity and contagious optimism. Dan's greatest loves were his children, Alec, Sarah and Danielle; his family, mother, Sarah; sisters, Barb Fischer (Randy) and Ruth; brothers, John (Joanne), Jake (Linda), Abe (Karen), Carl (Laureen); his many nieces and nephews and his special loves, Oxana and little Margarita (Russia). He was predeceased by his father, Cornelius in 1979. Dan loved to meet new people and rarely passed a street person without handing him a couple of bucks and saying, "hey, you have a good day man. " He also loved fly-fishing, writing, cooking and entertaining his friends and family. His door was open to all, young and old, as was reflected in the many tributes at his service. Dan was all about hope and pure joy. A friend summed it up by saying, "he was a man of integrity a one in a million friend! " He will be greatly missed.
