My second oldest brother, Gerald (Jerry) Bruce Wohlgemuth attended Bedford Road in 1961 and 1962, completing grade ten there before the family relocated to Swift Current due to our father's promotion and transfer with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Jerry subsequently graduated from W.A. Beatty Collegiate in Swift Current in 1964, but fondly remembered his time at Bedford Road especially being on the curling team with our brother Wayne, and Bill Postlewaite. After graduation, Jerry went into the baking industry and worked in several communities in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and B.C. In the early 90s he was able to establish his own bakery in the town of Naicam Saskatchewan, which he owned and operated with his wife until they retired. In 2021 Jerry was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away a few weeks later.
