Traveling around town
To ride a streetcar in New Orleans, you must pay the $1.25 fare using exact cash or the Le Pass app. You can also buy a 24-hour pass for $3 to use the streetcar and bus system. Board the streetcar from the front, and then exit through the rear door. Be aware that the streetcar lines can get crowded, and you should keep your hands inside the windows.
How to Ride the Streetcar
- Find a stop: along one of New Orleans' four streetcar lines.
- Board: at the front of the streetcar and find a seat.
- Pay your fare: using the Le Pass app or with exact cash. A single ride costs $1.25.
- Exit: through the rear door of the streetcar.
