Please join us on Sunday, October 20th from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for the third annual CASAthon, a 3-mile walk at Penn Park to increase awareness and raise money for CASA of Philadelphia. This is a family-friendly event. Please see the Event Details page for more information.
Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA, was founded in 1977 by David Soukup, a Seattle judge who appointed volunteers to "be a voice for the voiceless." These trained volunteers advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. CASA now has 950 local programs in 49 states across the country.
CASA of Philadelphia was established in 2006 to train and support community volunteers to advance the welfare of children in foster care through effective advocacy. Currently, there are more than 100 volunteers serving over 300 individuals each year. Your donations to CASAthon will help provide a brighter future for our children!
