Lompoc man recovering from Highway 1 crash

[name redacted] of Lompoc is expected to make a full recovery from major injuries he suffered in a three-car accident Saturday night on Highway 1, according to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital officials. Another driver, who died in the accident, was identified Sunday as Jason Pinnell, 38, of Los Angeles.

The crash occurred about 8:30 p.m. about five miles north of Highway 101 when a southbound 1998 Ford Mustang driven by Pinnell collided head-on with a northbound 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix.
