My husband (Virgil) and I live in Peoria, AZ. We lead an active life in our retirement community (golf, hiking, attending community events, etc.).

Divorced after 27 years of marriage, four daughters and a son. Oldest daughter Ariel is married, lives in Sterling Virginia and has our two granddaughters Selah and Alaythia.
Next is Kirsten. She’s also married and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are expecting their first in September!
Next is Austin, he lives in North English.
Then Paige, she lives in Cedar Rapids.
Youngest is Grace, she lives in Woodbridge, Virginia. She’s an EMT and drives an ambulance in the Washington DC area!
We homeschooled all of them and we were able to utilize parent taught driver’s ed with the youngest three, thanks to our state representative at the time Dawn Pettengill!
Never dreamed we were training her to drive an ambulance!! Especially there!!

Daughter, Julianne lives in Cedar Rapids, with husband and my grandchildren, Jazmyn (9) and Gideon (7). She also graduated from JFK class of 2007. If you go on the school tour you may see her picture and name in the Athletic Hall of Fame.
I taught mostly 3rd grade for 27 years. 8 in the CRSD and 19 at Cedar Valley Christian School.

Jeff and I married (in Cedar Rapids) in September of 1979. Jeff is a Panama Canal ship pilot, and our children were born in Panama. They have all gone on to find outstanding life partners and have given us nine grandchildren, ages 14, 9, 9, 9, 7, 7, 7, 4, 4. We recently moved FROM Florida TO Washington DC -- and, yes, it's kind of an old-age backwards move. But I got tired of palm trees and endless summers. Iowa is still in my blood. We're now in a home where we can watch the seasons change.

Kristie and I have been married for 43 years this September. We have 2 children, Aaron and Katie and 3 grandchildren, Lukas, Lainey & Lakely. My wife has been retired from banking since 2018, and I coninue to work part time in my own but very small company. The picture is us with the the grandkids at Seoul Tower. For 2 homebodies that never had the travel bug, we are becoming camp followers to my daughters family: her husband flies Apaches for the Army and is stationed in So Korea. Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

We retired in 2012 and moved to South Carolina, first to the Charleston area and then to upstate SC in Greenville.

Mike married Debra Sue Martens (CR Jefferson) in 1975. Their two sons were born in 1985 and 1986. Mike was the founder of Sports Image, LLC in 1992 when he set up an office at the Kirkwood New Business Center. Mike and Deb secured and paid off two SBA loans, one in Iowa and one in Minnesota. He served as co-owner and President of Sports Image until 2003, when he sold the company to Mr. Kris Koberg. The company is now called Level 10 Apparel. Mike and Deb purchased Oak Haven Resort and Campground in 2007, (implementing new policies like quiet nights, no cussing and no littering), where they served as owners/managers until 2021. An avid fisherman, Mike has taken 62 different people with him on 56 different fishing trips to Lac Seul in Ontario, Canada. (1979 to 2024) They moved back to their hometown of Cedar Rapids on 6-1-21 and are now enjoying the retired life with their two kitties. (Stevie and Callie)
