Catherine Hover is the entrepreneur responsible for introducing the region to the paint and sip
industry; opening 3 studios in the Upstate NY/ Vermont Region. Catherine successfully sold part
of the business to her employees and artists so that she could launch a new concept called
Palette. With a keen eye for societal needs, Catherine envisioned Palette as a haven for support
and camaraderie, particularly catering to the women of small urban markets.
Since opening Palette in 2019 in Saratoga Springs, she has partnered with 42 partner spaces
across the country including four in the Capital Region, demonstrating her passion and skill set
for connection and collaboration. In the last 3 years, Catherine has cultivated a shared space
and resources to a growing network of 250 individuals and corporate partners who share her
belief in the transformative power of opportunities, community, and capital for women and their
supporters.
Juggling the roles of CEO for two busy enterprises and the responsibilities of motherhood to
three young daughters, Catherine remains deeply engaged in supporting minority and
women-owned startups as an investor. Complementing her endeavors, she hosts a weekly
podcast called ‘Seriously Catherine’ where she shares personal anecdotes from her quest for
global domination through kindness, collaboration and community.
Roman Prymachok is a celebrated professional ballroom, Latin, and American smooth dancer and teacher. Born in Ukraine, Roman has dedicated his life to the art of dance from a young age, mastering a variety of styles and performing on prestigious stages around the world. Dance is not only his profession but his lifelong passion, inspiring and captivating audiences wherever he goes.
One of the defining moments of his career was performing as a ballroom and international dancer on the cruise line MSC Divina. This opportunity allowed him to showcase his talents to diverse audiences and bring the joy of dance to people from all walks of life. Teaching and mentoring have also been integral parts of his journey. He has served as a dance instructor and choreographer on MSC Divina, in Zhengzhou, China, and in various locations across Ukraine.
Since 2021, Roman has been part of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Albany, NY, where he specializes in American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Ballroom, and Latin styles. His mission is to help others discover the beauty and transformative power of ballroom dancing. His teaching approach combines technical precision with an infectious enthusiasm that makes learning dance an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Roman's competitive achievements are numerous and distinguished. He has earned top placements in various championships, including the National Dance Competition Fred Astaire Orlando, the Dance Championship "American Star Ball" in Atlantic City, the "Dancesport Championship" in New England, the "Miami Vibe" Dancesport competition, the "Commonwealth Classic" in Boston, the "NY/NJ Dancesport Challenge Fred Astaire," and numerous championships in Ukraine. His journey is a testament to his dedication and excellence in the field of dance.
Participating in this dance/fundraising competition is deeply personal for Roman. He is doing this event because of the incredible support the people of the USA have shown to Ukraine during the ongoing conflict. Their unwavering support and generosity have made a significant difference, and Roman wants to give back to the community that has stood by his country in its time of need.
