Details of Events

Dear Parents & Students,

On April 11th, we will kick off our final FUN~Raiser of the year ~Labors of Love~! This is the event where the entire student body goes out into the community to complete a project and then we come back together to have lunch at Poor House Farm Park.  On May 9th instead of coming to the school first, students have the option of heading straight to their assigned project for the day.  If a parent is transporting additional students they will need to stop by the school first before heading to the project site. Please be sure to communicate your plans with your homeroom teacher. All students and parents should report to their project location by 9AM.  Elementary teachers will communicate specific times and locations with their students and parents. Elementary students will meet up at Poor House Farm Park for lunch at 11:30AM and then secondary at 12:00PM.  Lunch will be provided for the students, chaperones and staff.  We are asking that all students be picked up no later than 1:00PM at Poor House Farm Park.  There will be no aftercare that day.

We have set a goal of $40,000 for the LOL event.  The proceeds raised will be put toward our new secondary campus. Prior to the event, students should ask friends, relatives, and neighbors to sponsor them.  We encourage parents to help your student(s) secure donations.  We have set a suggested goal for each student of $100 and a class goal to encourage the students to work together to raise funds. Students will have their own “Fun-Raising” page at faithchristianacademy.myevent.com, just click on Donate to Participant and search your student’s name.  Students who raise $100 will qualify to dress down the last three weeks of school.  We would love to have parents join their student(s) that day.  This has always been a wonderful event for our school, a great time of fellowship for our families, and a way for our school to be out giving back in our community.

We are looking forward to another successful event of Fun~Raising!  Please pray with us as we kick off Labors of Love that we have good weather, safe travel and that the students would have a great day fellowshipping with one another while raising funds for our school.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me directly at 304-263-0011.  Thank you for your prayers and support.  We are looking forward to a great event!
