Comment: Where'd the time go? Where'd the hair go?

Life after Ferris led me to the University of Washington where I found out I was better at rowing on the crew team than doing my engineering studies. A varsity letter and no degree later (still a dawg at heart though) forced me to rethink my career options, which probably ended up being one of the most fortuitous detours of my life.

I was lucky enough to get hired on the Spokane Fire Department, and for 37 years lived a dream job. During the last half of my SFD career I also worked on a Washington State incident management team that took me to large wildfires, mostly in Washington and Oregon, but also in 8 other states as well as a month in Louisiana for hurricane Katrina.

While I wasn't too successful at marriage, I do have two beautiful daughters and cherish any time I spend with them.

As an "old" dude I still like the physical challenges of hiking and climbing, but my favorite is mountain biking on Tower Mountain. Crashes aside, I like to think it keeps me young (until I see that "then" pic).

A big thanks to those helping organize our reunion. Looking forward to seeing all of you and remembering those good times.
