Comment: I’ve been a financial advisor for 39 years. I’ll be retiring in 2025! My wife, Stephanie retired in 2020 and she has been after me to retire ever since!

I graduated from UC Davis.

For the last 35 years, Napa, CA, has been my home.

I have been a home winemaker for the past 26 years. I enjoy involving some of my clients in the process and give a fair amount out during the holidays.

I like traveling, fishing and I’m learning to play golf. Also, we like to go see our in Washington DC and Denver, CO.

All is good, I look forward to seeing you at the reunion!

Comment: Many changes since High School and who hasn't? Wonderful children, grandchildren, family & friends. Grateful every day for the many blessings throughout life, a couple bumps along the way, but for the most part, amazing opportunity to learn and grow. Thankful for it all, what a learning curve!

Loren Hainsworth

Marital status: Married
Children: 4
Occupation: Self Employed
Comment: Lynnette and I (46 years!) 4 children, 13 grandchildren, all either in Spokane or nearby and doing very well. We still live in the Ferris district and I root for the Saxons every time we don't have a grandchild on the opposing team. My wife being a Mead girl is somewhat less of a booster. (Old animosities die hard!)

Trying to maintain my relevance and remain active in the family business is a loosing battle. The new generation with their sharp minds remind me daily that very few old men need be in charge of anything!

We enjoy traveling, being with our family and are trying to serve God as he directs.

GO SAXONS!

Comment: I married my high school sweetheart, Bob Michaelis (Ferris class of 1973) in 1977. Bob and I have a large family. We’re fortunate to have all of our children and their families living within 20 miles of our home, and we enjoy a monthly family dinner with all of them.

One year ago I retired from my job of 25 years, working as the AP clerk and Scholarship Coordinator for a western states trade association.

Now I spend a lot of time traveling, camping, attending our grandkids’ sports and events, and working in my gardens.

Comment: 50 years ago we threw our graduation caps in the air and charged into the adult world, like a good Saxon would!

I never thought I would leave Spokane but right after graduation I moved to Boise for 3 years. My next stop was Bellevue for 10 years. I sold homes there and loved being a realtor. I married my husband Craig there. But Craig’s company had other plans for us. They moved us to Hawaii. We loved the beach, weather, culture, kids sports and great food. I found my passion for pottery there - teaching, working for art organizations and galleries. It was Hawaii bliss for 16 years. Then Craig’s company downsized and we were sent to Wisconsin - we liked it! Casseroles, cheese and the Packers. Craig retired there from the Gillette Company after 34 years and I continued with pottery. When our son youngest graduated from high school we came home to Washington and settled in Vancouver.

Best part of my life is my family. I have 2 great sons. Oldest lives in Los Angeles with his wife, the youngest is in Portland. Both sons are in the culinary field and yes I eat well. I have the pounds to show! I also have an incredible 8 year old grandson that helps to work off those pounds. Craig and I were together for 35 years. Unfortunately Craig passed away in 2013 from cancer. We all miss him greatly.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing your stories of the last 50 years.
