Hold Harmless Statement

GENEVA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION RELEASE & HOLD HARMLESS THE GENEVA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, Inc. (GBA) SHALL EXCEPT NO RISK WHATSOEVER, NOR BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE APPLICANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE COLOR FUN RUN. THE APPLICANT HEREBY RELEASES THE GENEVA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, AND ALL VOLUNTEERS, PROPERTY OWNERS, OFFICIALS, ASSIGNS OR OTHER PARTY/PARTIES REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GBA. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE GBA IS NOT LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE IN ANY WAY FOR INJURIES SUSTAINED, DAMAGES INCURRED, OR ACCIDENTS OCCURING DURING THE USER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES TAKING PLACE AT GENEVA HIGH SCHOOL PROPERTY.

1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and,


2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation.

I [Name signed below], am at least (18) years of age and I have carefully read this Indemnity and Hold Harmless Agreement and fully understand it contents, releasing the GBA from any and all liability in regards to my group’s/organization’s use, or my own use of the Geneva High School property. I am aware that this a contractual agreement and sign it at my own free will.

Please do not leave your children at Geneva High School property unattended

As a parent and/or guardian, I do herewith authorize the GBA to provide transportation to the nearest hospital for my minor child in the event of a medical emergency while they are participating in a GBA program.

I grant permission for the GBA to take and use photographs for the purpose of this event.
