Story

The Gladstone Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund is an annual campaign that raises money for local charities. For 2022, Mayor Bill Garnos has selected Feed Northland Kids, Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors and The Gladstone Animal Shelter as the fund's recipients. Please join Mayor Garnos in supporting these three wonderful organizations!

More information about the charities:

  • Feed Northland Kids — Feed Northland Kids continues with their mission to feed hungry kids and families in Clay and Platte counties. Currently, three programs operate in partnership with nine school districts: A “BackSnack” program providing weekend food to elementary-aged children, 17 "Food for Thought" pantries inside middle and high schools, and a Community Food Kit for the entire family.

  • Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors — Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors continues to be a strong supporter of neighborhoods in Gladstone. They provide funding for a variety of neighborhood programs to assist needy homeowners who are unable to manage minor home repairs, weatherization, and maintenance for their homes.

  • Gladstone Animal Shelter — The City’s Animal Shelter provides care and support for over 1,000 of our four-legged friends each year. Donations will help with adoption and special services for shelter pets.

Please join Mayor Garnos on November 22 at 6pm at Linden Square, 601 NE 70th St, Gladstone, MO 64118, as we light the Gladstone Mayor's Christmas Tree and hear performances by Chapel Hill Elementary and Antioch Middle School Choirs.
