Story

The Gladstone Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund is an annual campaign that raises money for local charities. For 2023, Mayor Jean Moore has selected Feed Northland Kids and Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors as the fund's recipients. Please join Mayor Moore in supporting these two wonderful organizations!

More information about the charities:

  • Feed Northland Kids — Feed Northland Kids fights food insecurity in Clay and Platte counties by providing children nourishment they need to grow, learn and thrive. For elementary students, they supply BackSnacks (an assortment of kid-friendly items) in partnership with Harvesters. In middle and high schools, they stock Pantries with ready-to-eat food and snacks. And they serve entire families with Community Food Kits, which feature non-perishable staples, fresh produce and ground beef.

  • Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors — Since 1999, Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors has helped needy Gladstone homeowners-- especially seniors and veterans--with a variety of neighborhood programs including home repairs, weatherization and maintenance.  Without this help, many would not be able to stay in their homes.

Please join Mayor Moore on November 28 at 6pm at Linden Square, 601 NE 70th St, Gladstone, MO 64118, as we light the Gladstone Mayor's Christmas Tree and hear performances by Linden West Elementary and Antioch Middle School Choirs.
