Hillcrest 74-75-76-77 50thish Reunion

The State of the (Re) Union
Classes of 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 to be held Friday July 25 through Sunday July 27, 2025

A crack team of Hillcrest High School alumni has been planning a 50ish reunion since spring 2024.  Below are the various activities we have planned.

Friday July 25, 2025

Hillcrest High School Tour – Tour of Hillcrest High School Friday July 25, 2025, 11:00 AM 

Golf Outing for classes 74–77 -- Robert Cremin at Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood at noon on Friday where other non-golfers can hang out.  Please email cremin106@yahoo.com if you want to participate in this event.

Aurelios Pizza Party -- 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM -- Informal get together at Aurelio’s Pizza in Homewood starting at 6:00PM.  We will provide pizza, salad and soft drinks.  Alcohol will be available at the bar.

Saturday July 26, 2025

Picnic/Outdoor Gathering at Rubio Woods -- noon -- This is not meant to be anything fancy.  Informal picnic where you bring your own food and beverage (and maybe a frisbee or football to toss around).  Families are welcome to attend - so bring those grandchildren to show off so they can realize you ARE really old, no just kidding. Trust me, they will be amazed that you graduated 50 years ago

Class Reunion Banquet for the classes 74-77 -- 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM – On Saturday night the classes and any dates they want to bring will meet The Oak Lawn VFW at 9514 S 52nd Ave 6PM for dinner, drinks and fellowship.  To keep dinner afforable, we will have a cash bar until 10.  After that people can reconvene at the public bar of the VFW.

Sunday July 27, 2025

Cubs – Sox Game at Rate Field 1:10 PM – The crosstown rivalry will be on the Southside that weekend.  We have 50 tickets reserved in SEC110 Rows 30 through 32, lower level available which are going fast. This will be great fun - especially finding out who favors which team. The game starts at 1:10pm and is being held at Rate Field on the Southside.

If you plan on coming to any of these events, please register on the Event Sign Up and Pay page at the at https://myevent.com/hhs74757677fiveoh/tickets EXCEPT for the golf outing.  Contact Robert Cremin at cremin106@yahoo.com to register for that event.  Registration opens on April 15.

What we need to make these activities a success

Contacts – If you have contacts from high school please help spread the word that this is coming up.  Also, if you have a list of Hillcrest contacts that you are willing to share, please get those to hhs-74-77-2025-reunion-planning@googlegroups.com .

Money – we need to raise several thousand dollars for deposits (Sox game, Saturday night venue, DJ), distributing information either by old school mailings, electronic media or texting.  Committee members are willing to put some of their money into this but we would rather spread the joy.  Money donated will go towards mitigating the cost of the events.  If you are willing to help with expenses, please email micksouder@yahoo.com to set up a donation to the reunion bank account.
