Hanifah Shakir, also known as Erma Humdy, was the youngest daughter of Charley Sr. and Matilda Humdy. She was born on May 9, 1928, and departed this life on December 1, 2016. Hanifah was preceded in death by her husband, Waalee Shakir (also known as Ulysses Cook Sr.). She was the proud mother of seven wonderful children: Ulysses Jr., Brenda, Lola, Liana, Melva, Charles, and Malikah. Hanifah embodied beauty and joy, always being a supportive and loving presence in the lives of her children. We cherish you, Mama, and as you rest in peace, we find comfort in knowing you are watching over us with a smile.
