Located a few miles off I70 near Idaho Springs, the glacier is where we often take visitors from out of town. The trail starts at 10,000 feet and offers lovely mountain lake views after a relatively short (but uphill) hike. Hikers can enjoy the views. More intrepid hikers can follow the glacier above treeline.
A great way to see Red Rocks if you’re not going to a concert. You can also check out the famous amphitheatre and the Colorado Music Hall of Fame museum.
If you’re adding a few days before or after the reunion, consider going to RMNP! You’ll want to plan ahead though as the park may have its timed entry policy in effect. There are hotels in nearby Estes Park, including The Stanley Hotel, made famous by the Jack Nicholson movie, The Shining.
