Woodside, Doretha - Funeral services for Mrs. Doretha Woodside, 620 Hudson Street, who died Friday morning at Halifax Hospital will be held Tuesday 4 pm at St. James Baptist at Madison Heights. Calling hours will be from noon today until 9 pm and Tuesday from 9 am until 3 pm. Burial will be made at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born in Sale city, GA, and moved here 15 years ago. She was employed by the Ormond Beach Federal Saving and Loan Assn. She is survived by her husband, Junior Woodside of Jacksonville, nine children: Johnnie Woodside, Jacksonville, Carl and Bobby Woodside of Brooklyn, NY, Herman and Patricia Woodside, Toni Graves, Willaims Graves 3rd, Richard Graves, Dorothy Graves of Daytona Beach. Mother, Mrs. Alice McCoy of Daytona Beach: 8 sisters, Mrs. Millie Walker, Mrs. Missouri Lee, Mrs. Ruthie Mae Lee, Mrs. Cora Lee McCoy and Mrs. Doris McCoy of Daytona Beach, Mrs. Frances Williams of Moultrie, GA, Mrs. Gladys Henderson of Jacksonville, Mrs. Daisy Lee Mathis of Sale City, GA, Two brothers: Johnnie C. McCoy of Brooklyn, NY and Rufus McCoy of Daytona Beach, Twenty-three nieces, 27 nephews. Herbert Thompson, 901 Second Ave, is in charge.

To my grandmother in heaven to whom I never had the chance to meet! You are deeply missed by your children and I thank you for your protection over them and your grandchildren!! I always wonder what it’s like to have the love of a maternal grandmother and will never know but through the memories your spirit and face will never be forgotten! Love your granddaughter, Portia.

To my lovely mom whose home has been heaven for quite some time now I Soo love and miss you. I was only 5 yrs. of age when you left your earthly home unexpectedly. I know you are enjoying The Real McCoys Family Reunion in Heaven with Grandpa, Grandma, all of your siblings and Carl, Bobby, Herman,(your kids) as well as other family members.
