MHRTA Ski-A-Thon 24/25
MHRTA Ski-A-Thon
While MHRTA tuition and fees make up a majority of our budget, we balance the budget through our fundraising efforts. Each year, we have several initiatives that help bridge the gap between tuition and fees and actual program expenses. Our fundraising initiatives include: The Golden Rose Race & Raffle, The Oregon 4-Way, MHRTA Ski-a-thon, Wine Tasting, and of course individual donations and company matching programs. We hope that each family will give at a level that is meaningful to them.
Donated funds are used to obtain equipment necessary to support athlete training and programming. Every year the Foundation spends thousands of dollars to purchase gates, drills, radios and other training hill equipment. With 150 athletes in our program, our equipment gets a lot of use and needs periodic replacement to keep things current and safe. Some examples of equipment and costs are noted below.
The MHRTA Ski-A-Thon is a fun way to support our athletes and get everyone involved. You can pledge an amount for a number of laps your athlete completes or you can donate an amount for their participation. Either way - on December 29 - all of our athletes will be making laps through courses and obstacles and speed traps. It's a challenge to see who can complete the most laps. Prizes are awarded for the most laps, and the most funds raised. We hope you will join the fun by donating and/or spectating on Sunday December 29, 2024.
