A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE
I remember when....
Clocks had hands and every classroom had chalkboards and erasers;
Teachers taught with overhead projectors and made copies on Ditto machines;
Tape recorders had reels; 8 track tapes were "the thing".
Phone booths were in the foyer and flip phones were on Star Trek
Televisions had tubes and were wheeled from room to room on large metal carts;
The secretaries used electric typewriters and make carbon copies for the files,
Shorthand was still a skill secretaries used and key punch machines were used for data entry;
Only Sister Mary Lynn (Physics) know what microwaves were.
Girls carried aspirin and Mydol in the purses and shared with friends if needed;
Slips and panty hose were a part of every young girls wardrobe;
Open toe shoes were frowned upon and gym shoes could not be worn in school.
Shoes had laces; not velcro
"Notebooks" were made of paper.
Water fountains, not water bottles, prevailed......
The years we spent at NDA represented a unique time in history............
