Maegen Wallace
$2,117.00 Team WallaceHi, I’m Maegen Wallace. I am a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Phoenix Children’s in Phoenix, AZ. I am passionate about caring for my patients with OI and am excited to be bringing awareness to OI and to support the OI Foundation by joining my fellow OIF MAC members Dr. Jeanne Franzone and Dr. Reid Sutton on July 21st, along with physicians from the United Kingdom and Europe for Medics on the March!
Over three days, we will hike more than 50 miles along the Fife Coastal Path in Scotland in an effort to raise international awareness and fundraise for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation!
Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a rare and complex genetic disorder of collagen that is often characterized by fragile bones. There is no cure for OI, but thanks to programs like this, there are now treatments available to manage symptoms, minimize fractures, enhance independent function and promote general health. Proceeds will help the OI Foundation respond to more than 11,000 inquires each year for medically verified information and support; produce new information resources for individuals and medical professionals; fund research and facilitate support groups across the country for the nearly 50,000 men, women and children affected by OI in the United States.
My fundraising goal for Medics on the March 2025 is $25,000. Please help me hit that goal by joining Team Wallace and making a donation today. You can also share my story with your friends and on social media. Be sure to follow the OI Foundation on Facebook and Instagram to keep updated on our progress. I appreciate your support!
