James (Jim) Martin Neidorf Ridgeland - James (Jim) Martin Neidorf, a 23-year resident of Ridgeland Mississippi passed away October 4th 2018 at the age of 77. He is survived by his daughter Jill Neidorf, of San Diego, California and his son Craig Neidorf, of Atlanta Georgia, and several grandchildren. He was preceded to the grave by his parents Samuel and Florence Neidorf and his brother David Neidorf. Jim was born and raised in Chicago Illinois, where he attended Senn High School and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan (though he lived on the north side of town in a Cubs neighborhood). Jim earned an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and received an MS in Marketing from Northwestern University, while working summers as a Chicago bus driver. Following college, Jim served in the United States Air Force and launched a 40-plus year career in marketing and advertising that included management positions at a number of the largest and most prestigious advertising agencies in the world, like McCann Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, Botsford-Ketchum, and Wells, Rich and Greene. Jim's career gave him the opportunity to live in major advertising centers including Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis as well as far-flung places such as Sydney, Australia and Lagos, Nigeria. His friends used to joke that he knew the call letters for every major airport in the world. In the late 1980's Jim achieved every little boy's dream and joined the circus - working as the Director of Advertising for Ringling Brothers, in Northern Virginia. Jim capped off his career with a 9 year tenure at The Ramey Agency, in Jackson Mississippi, as a Senior Vice President and Account Director. He was a man who deeply loved his family and friends and relished the opportunity to travel. Jim will be deeply missed by his family and his many, many friends and associates all over the world.
