Lawrence Glickman Obituary GLICKMAN Lawrence ""Larry'' P. Glickman, age 63 years, passed away at Ochsner Foundation Hospital on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. He will be remembered by his loving daughter Laura L. Glickman of Charlotte, NC, his son Adam P. Glickman, and daughter-in-law Maria Bustria-Glickman, both of Los Angeles, CA. Son of the late Daisy Getzow and Manny Glickman, Larry was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO and earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. In St. Louis, he met Louise Sontheimer of New Orleans, LA. The two were married in 1967 and moved to New Orleans the following year. Larry served in the US Army Reserves from 1968-1975. He remained a resident of New Orleans for the next 40 years and his love of early morning walks along the levee moved him to become an active contributor to the Audubon Nature Institute and The Nature Conservancy. He formerly served as Vice President of Delta Life Insurance Company, Director of the Board and Director of Admissions for Willow Wood Home for the Aged and Woldenberg Village. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp at 1600 N. Causeway is in charge of arrangements.
