Chelle Shiue
2025-01-26
It is with love and celebration of a life well-lived that we share the passing of Michelle (Chelle) Eileen Denman Shiue on January 26, 2025. Chelle, 68, passed peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, warmth, and joy.
Chelle is survived by her beloved husband, Charlie Shiue; her sister Margo Martin; daughters Micaela Brown, Alyssa (Adam) Buckalew, Bria (Aaron) Olson, and Mariah (Brenon) Smith; as well as eight grandchildren: Michael and Patrick Brown, Carver, Iris, and Olive Buckalew, Malin Olson, and Malachi and Leila Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Mack F. Denman, Jr.; mother Marjorie Denman Hornseth; and brother Mark.
Chelle had a zest for life that she shared with everyone around her. She was a master of all things creative-from designing stunning flower arrangements to crafting beautiful photo albums and scrapbooks. Known for her love of food, Chelle reveled in planning meals, cooking delicious dishes, and-of course-eating. Whether it was a holiday gathering or a simple family dinner, she loved bringing people together around the table. Cruises were another passion, offering her a chance to travel, relax, and enjoy the ocean that brought her so much peace. She also was known for her love of gardening, where her green thumb nurtured flowers, vegetables, and plants. She was always up for playing cards, board games, and anything that allowed her to gather with friends and family. Chelle loved the laughter and fun that comes with a friendly competition.
Chelle's memory will live on in her family's stories, her beautiful handiwork, and the deep bonds she cultivated with those fortunate enough to know her.
A private memorial service will be held in Chelle's honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in her name.
