(from Mary Hulstine) Ben and I met during school, years 1977-78, dated in jr. high and all of high school 1980 - 1984. After Graduation we moved to California and lived all around the Bay area. Traveled the CA. coast, beautiful.
1987 - Married in Richland. Our Wedding song was: Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis.
Lived in CA until the 1989 earthquake. Brought down bridges and overpass. During the World Series. NOT FUN. Two weeks later moved to Texas.
1989 - Moved to TX.
1991 - Moved from TX after son was born and a tornado ripped of the front door off.
1991 - Moved to Richland.
1992 - Started B & A Contractors and we ran it until 2021 when Ben passed.
1995 - Daughter born.
2015 - Went to Sturgis and the Full Throttle Saloon Burnt down the day we left in September. Tornado in Tennessee. Traveled coast to coast two times. Once with the bike and the second time in the car.

What a bunch of (mostly) skinning kids! My reflections back on the end of our senior year season are always sad at how we were flat at State. Realize now that it was more mental fatigue and probably some intimidation at reaching the state stage. If only we could have the mental toughness of our later years together with the youthful energy and intensity for sports when we are 17 or 18 years old. Great memories of fun times with classmates and teammates during the high school years.
