Wayne Dean Simmons, age 65, of Mayfield, KY formerly of Sandwich, IL  passed away on May 29, 2021 at Princeton Nursing Home in Princeton, KY. Wayne was born on February 26, 1956 and is the son of Karl Robert Simmons and Rita Jean Simmons. He married his wife, Jacqueline on June 16, 1990 and they were happily married for almost 31 years. Wayne was a hard worker and enjoyed being on the road as a truck driver for ATMI Precast. Wayne loved his family and would do anything for them. He loved spending free time with his family outdoors camping, grilling, watching movies including Westerns and Star Wars and just hanging out. Wayne had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone in need. Mr. Simmons was loved and will be missed by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his mother Rita Jean Simmons of Bardwell, KY, his wife Jacqueline Lee (Brosi) Simmons of Mayfield, KY, his daughter Karly Jean Simmons and grandson Osbaldo (Ozzie) Guardado of Aurora, IL and two sisters Beverly (Simmons) Winburn of Bardwell, KY and Kathy (Simmons) Porter of Auburn, GA, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Mr. Simmions was preceeded in death by his grandparents Robert and Edna Simmons and Dale and Florance Schafer, his father Karl Robert Simmons, brother Karl Eugene Simmons and sister Rebecca Marie (Simmons) Hatton.
