Elizabeth “Libby” Sisson Reed, 63, of Charleston, died December 6, 2012 after a long illness. She was the daughter of Josephine “Jo” Sisson and the late Hershel “Tater” Sisson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Violet Good and Harry and Kathleen Sisson.



Libby was a 1967 graduate of Sissonville High School. She attended Charleston Career College. She was retired from Verizon with 30 years of service and also retired from Long & Fisher Funeral Home. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a five year member of the Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department.

I knew Libby & her family for several years prior to high school.  The Lord gave me another blessing in that he gave her to be my friend!  Went every Sunday to her house to eat supper & if we didn't go she was calling us!  Miss you so much Lib, Rest In Peace my friend!

Libby, Libby, Libby, what can one really say about someone so unique as you were.  I am proud to think that we were friends all hrough junior and senior hgh school and after. I hated to see you go through all of the medical problems you had.  You fought and suffered. Rest in peace, until we meet again.   Love
