Bruce G. Vanek, age 67, of Richmond Heights, passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home on July 7th, 2022. He was born in Cleveland on June 7th, 1955, to the late Mickey and Dorothy Vanek (nee Mallinak). He was a proud and loving husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed by many. Founding partner in a successful business Tetrad Electronics Inc. he retired at the age of 58. Bruce was an experienced traveler who loved taking cruises, enjoyed gambling, and attending concerts around the country involving his family and friends. When COVID stunted his traveling, he took to building model ships and he completed three which he named COVID 1-3. Bruce was an avid sports fan. He was a man of love who enriched the lives of those who knew him. Bruce will be fondly remembered for his generosity, kindness, and sense of humor. Bruce is survived by his siblings Doreen (Craig) Kalicki, Denise (Charles) Strasshofer, Renee (J.J.) Stefan, sister-in-law Nancy (Chris) Brenner. Bruce also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 27 years Dana Marie Vanek (nee Hatchett) whom he married on August 31, 1986. He is also preceded in death by his parents and brothers Mickey Vanek and Ken Vanek. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future to honor his life. Donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Monreal Srnick Funeral Home.
