Louis A. Pelton, 76, of Eastlake, died March 11, 2022. He was born October 15, 1945 in Findlay, Ohio. Mr. Pelton worked as an Industrial Arts teacher for 41 years – at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School and Westlake City Schools. He enjoyed anything to do with plants and flowers especially Dahlias and Elephant Ears. (He disliked it when his kids threw tomatoes… it spreads seeds.) He was a proud and long-time member of the Gardeners of Greater Cleveland. Survivors include his wife, Jean Pelton; children, Mary Pelton and Steve (Stephanie) Pelton; grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia; and his sister, Ruthie Beck-Cassidy.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Celesta Pelton; sisters, Ann, Donna, and Jo; and his brother, Richard.The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral mass in memory of Louis will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Noel Church, 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills, OH 44094 (Please meet at the church.)In lieu of flowers, the family requests you plant a tree or flower in his memory.
