Brother Francis T. “Frank” Nurthern did not attend Cathedral Latin School, but he was named the Alumni Man of the Year in 1966. That was because of the high regard graduates had for the former teacher and administrator.
The honors came even higher in 1983, when alumni gave him the “Our Man of the Year Award; for All Years, Past and Present.”
“He was the essence of the Cathedral Latin Alumni Association,” said Jim Hyland of University Heights, the association’s treasurer.
