She was a faithful woman of God and devoted mother who enjoyed many activities. Paula is survived by mother, Marjorie Hall, daughters Alicia and Jessica (Cameron White) Sewell, grandson, Myles, sister Carol Hall-Smith (Gary), nephew Addison, and friends.

Burt Edward Hesse, 47, died Jan. 24, 2002, at his home. Born in Denver, he lived in Apple Valley for 25 years. Burt was a manager at KFC for about four years. He was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years and was honorably discharged in 1987 from George Air Force Base. Burt was a very active member of the Victorville Kiwanis, past lieutenant governor; Key Club adviser, and he was on the board of Victor Valley Memorial Park. J. Stephen Hicks, a well known photographer and 19-year Malibu resident, died this week. He was 58.

A celebration of life will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Sunset Restaurant, 6800 Westward Beach Road in Malibu.

Eric T. Isberg, 62, of Denver, CO passed away at his home on September 2nd. Eric was a man with an artist’s soul. He was smart, sensitive and creative man who loved being with people. Eric got his BS in Childhood Psychology in ’77. He spent his junior year studying art and German in Austria.
