Cheryl Cooper

1955-10-16 2024-08-06

Cheryl Jean Cooper, age 68, left us on August 9, 2024. During her lifetime, she was an incredible Daughter, Wife, Mother, GiGi, Sister, Aunt, Mentor and Friend who will be forever missed by all who knew her.

She was born in Tulsa, OK on October 16, 1955 to Cliff and Jean Moore. She had 1 brother, Carl L. Moore and 2 sisters, Marilyn Meek and Sharon Moore.
Cheryl was married to Terry L. Cooper on December 26, 1979 until his death on August 14, 2019. They had 3 sons, Nick Cooper, Tony Cooper and Adam Cooper. She had 4 Grandchildren, AJ Cooper, Reagan Cooper, JP Cooper and Will Cooper.
She married James H. Rogers in 2021.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Terry L. Cooper, her son, Tony Cooper, her parents, Cliff and Jean Moore, Terry’s parents, Amos and Nora Cooper and her sister, Marilyn Meek.
She is survived by Nick (Jackie) Cooper, Adam (Amanda) Cooper, 4 Grandchildren that were the light of her life, Brother-in-Law Bill Cooper, Husband, James Rogers, Brother, Carl L. Moore, Sister, Sharon Moore and countless nieces, nephews and friends.

She attended school at Catoosa and Memorial High School and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from NSU. She spent many hours at Graebel Van Lines and OXY as a Relocation Specialist. After so much loss in her life, she became a Certified Grief Specialist helping so many others with their losses.

Cheryl was the laughter in the room, one of the most thoughtful people in the world. She would never miss an important moment in the lives of those she loved. She would gravitate to the children in the room and loved her grandchildren beyond measure. She would always walk beside you during difficult times. Cheryl had the most obnoxious and beautiful laugh.

We watched her navigate pain and loss and we know in our hearts that she needed to be held tightly in her mother’s arms, for Jesus to heal her broken heart and spend the rest of eternity with Terry, Tony and all her loved ones who have gone before. No more heartbreak, sadness and no more masking. You are loved and you are Free.

Cheryl will be at Heaven’s Gate with open arms to welcome every single one of us to her new home. And what an awesome day that will be. Forever Loved. Forever Missed. Forever Forgiven.

Services were held August 31, 2024.
