I'm trying to retire or at least cut back on working so we can enjoy our vacation home in the Poconos the problem is I still enjoy working. I've definitely been blessed along the way with two wonderful daughters ages 43 and 38. I also have 5 beautiful grandchildren. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. A great time in our lives to laugh, cry, forgive . . . if we had known then what we know now . . . I have achieved and received so much and am extremely grateful to God who has been faithful to me daily. Me and my crew (my kids Elijah (20), Jordan (19), Ezekiel (16) and Gabriel (15) have had a very interesting and as unconventional a family life as you can get, and I would not have traded it for anything in the world. Married Jackie Bassett. daughter Elizabeth born in Jacksonville. Transferred to Naval Air Development Center, Warminster from 1989 to 1993. Coincidentally, worked with John Felix's (UD '74) dad modifying aircraft for tests. Lived in Warrington, where son Jack was born. Transferred again in 1993 to Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River to my current position working in test safety. Jackie works as a comptroller for several local small companies. Beth is working in Hunt Valley MD, and Jack is a freshman at Simon's Rock College. |

| Comment: | Looking forward to the reunion! I went to Va. Tech for 2 years, then San Jose State for a year while serving as a youth pastor in Saratoga, CA, then back to Va. Tech. for my final year. BA Phil (double major: BS Sociology). I went to Princeton Seminary, taking an intern year between my second and final year in Wheeling, WV, where I met and married my wife, Elizabeth in 1979. We have lived in northern NJ, Wheeling, WV (where our two kids were born in 1984-Jennifer Bostrom and 1988-James), and currently Franklin, IN. I plan to retire in 2025 to a home we purchased in Wheeling, overlooking Oglebay Resort. (But the saying is old ministers do not retire--they just go out to pastor.) My family moved from Ft. Washington to southern CA while I was a college senior. My sister, Pam Barnes, still lives in the area (Maple Glen), but other than that, the rest of the Jessen clan has dispersed. We have two grandchildren (Jennifer and Jon Bostrom's: Madeline 2013 and Henry 2016). I have been blessed! |

I have one kid out of college and working (still asking for money) on City Avenue and one that is a junior at Temple. With both kids in Philly, my wife of 30 years and myself would like to get back to Philadelphia someday in the future. It would be great to see some of my all classmates again. |
