50th Reunion Well it's been 15 years since my last check-in and well life continues to throw out curveballs. Good thing I've developed a great swing! When I was last here, I was married, living in Ft. Myers ,FL working & occasionally playing (mediocre) golf. I am now living in downtown Chicago. No car! No golf. and happily, no husband. I am still working, I have gone from 0 grandchildren to 3 with another due in November 2023. I do have to agree with all who say Grands are the BEST! I have had the wonderful fortune to reconnect with our venerable leader, Kathy Bail Hill earlier this year. We've gotten together for a couple of lunches, big laughs and LOTS of wine. I will tell you that Kathy is THE reason why I'm so excited to come to the reunion this year. Her enthusiasm is infectious; her power of persuasion is beyond compare! Looking forward to seeing everyone. 35th Reunion Greetings to my fellow classmates. I'm sorry that I won't be with you this coming weekend but I do hope you all have a fabulous time. Seth, Hope and Beverly, you have done a marvelous job with this website and your tenacity in tracking me down is worthy of the CIA. Thanks to your remarkable efforts, I had a delightful chat with Jayne (Gimbel) Dillon the other day. Thank you. Murray and I became empty-nesters 4 years ago and left Pittsburgh for the sunshine and golf courses of SW Florida.....and never looked back. Both my husband and I are self-employed so moving and establishing our lives down here was quite easy. A quick rundown on our children: Will, 32 is a golf professional in Tennessee, Drew, 30 is an IT consultant in D.C., Jim, 28 is finishing his 2nd year at Pitt Law School, Sarah, 26 is a lobbyist in D.C., and Mike, 24 (almost) is in the US Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA. None of our children are married nor do we have any grandchildren. As with all of you, my life has been wonderful or hard, depending on life’s crazy cycles but looking at our children, I must say that we certainly did something right. Upper Dublin is a lifetime away but on my mind more recently and I have some very good memories from all of those days. Reading your updates has made me very proud of our class; you are all truly amazing, some for great contributions to society and others for creating wonderful lives that have obviously left you content and happy; does it really get any better than that? I’m saddened by the loss of so many of our classmates but life is unkind that way and I guess it’s another reminder that we need to cherish the times we have with our families and friends. Enjoy yourselves this weekend and I will raise a glass in your honor. |

It's been a long time. After graduation, I entered Valley Forge Christian College and then into the ministry. I have pastored churches in Maryland and northwestern Pennsylvania, which is where I now live. I married my wonderful and beautiful wife in 1977 and God has blessed us with three children and two grandchildren. My family is the joy of my life. In addition to pastoring, I work as a loan servicing representative for a local bank. Life is good and God is great! |

Comment: Teaching Communication Studies at UNC Charlotte, where I've been since 1989. Met my wife Carol there where she also teaches Communication Studies. Two boys--one a freshman this year at Eastern Oregon University, the other a sophomore in high school. Haven't been able to get back to Upper Dublin since 1984, when my parents retired and moved out of the area. Hope to get back soon. Thanks to Hope, Beth and Seth for tracking me down. |
