Occupation: Retired Land & Water Program Manager
Comment: After a life by and on the water, we have chosen to build our retirement home in the high desert of New Mexico. Thankfully we have a creek on our property, the Chana River and Lake Abiquiu nearby, plus there is the Rio Grande not far. We were lucky to go on a 14-month sailing adventure across the Atlantic and back in 2010-11. You can see some photos here: flyingfishadventure.wordpress.com. Were planning and provisioning for another sailing adventure in 2020 until COVID hit. Now we are building a house, after completing a workshop/garage building first in 2022. Hopefully we will not be too old to complete this project. We often get distracted by beautiful hikes and meeting interesting people here. We will be back in Maine next summer for son's wedding!

Marital status: Single
Occupation: Retired!
Comment: 2023 update:  At the end of 2022 I retired after 30 years as a contractor at the FAA Technical Center, mostly doing safety analysis for air traffic control.  I still live in the Atlantic City area, and do a lot of bicycle riding.

After UD, I went to Penn, then graduate school at UCLA, then spent five years in France as a research physicist.  I returned to the US in 1988, did some college teaching, and worked as a flight instructor in Wilmington, DE before starting at the Tech Center.

Bob Simon

Marital status: Married
Children: 4
Occupation: Retired
Comment: I live outside Washington, DC, in a small town (Berwyn Heights) next to College Park, Maryland, where the main campus of the University of Maryland is located.  I've been married since 1981 to my wife, Karen, who was born and raised in Trinidad, in the West Indies.  We have 4 children, 3 still living, 2 of whom are married, and we will have 4 grandchildren by the time we meet for our 50th reunion.

I spent my professional career working in Washington on public policy relating to science and technology, including 20 years as a staffer in the United States Senate and three years right before I retired in 2016 working for President Obama's Science Advisor.  I am still active in retirement in consulting, teaching (at Georgetown University), and advocacy related to clean energy and the environment.

I'm really looking forward to the reunion and catching up with old friends, especially the ones I've lost touch with over the years!

Comment:

After leaving Upper Dublin I went off to school and got degrees from University of Buffalo and the University of Miami in Architecture. I worked in New York and New Jersey and migrated to South Florida in 86. I've been here ever since, raising my 2 girls with my wife who are both in college at the University of Florida. Although a transplant from New York to Pennsylvania as a kid of 12 and leaving at 19, I still tell everyone I'm from Upper Dublin. This really confuses people, because I've retained my New York accent.

Comment: Following graduation, I went to Millersville where I got a degree in a really useful subject - ancient Greek! Seriously! After college, and after bouncing around in the business world for a few years, I got a paralegal certificate in 1981, thinking "Let's see if I like the legal field."

Twenty years and many thousands of work hours later, I realized I needed a break. I have indulged myself these last few years, enjoying life and returning to school to obtain a degree in Accounting. Unfortunately, the break is over and it's back to the grind for me! I am currently tutoring Accounting at a local community college and working parttime for an accountant doing (what else) taxes.

I was blessed with finding a wonderful man named Rich whom I married in 1995. We keep busy with church, camping, and traveling to places like Ireland, Italy and Mexico, as well as visiting family members strewn across the USA. Took me a while to find a recent picture that won't scare anyone. The years seem to cause a bit of a ......spread, if you know what I mean. That's me on the far right with my nephew and my sister Mary, Class of '71.

I am enjoying reading everyone's stories of what they have been doing these last 35 (yikes!) years!
