Richard Allyn Wright, 35, of Eugene, Oregon, died Thursday, January 21, 1993, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon.
Richard was born in Ventura, at- tended Ventura High School, and graduated from Ventura College in 1977. He attended Arizona State at Tempe, and the University of Oregon, majoring in Landscape Architecture. He move to Eugene in 1980.
He was a staunch advocate for Eugene’s trees, a co-founder of the "Friends of Eugene’s Urban Forest", and he spent many volunteer hours tending public gardens in Eu- gene. Richard’s spirit will live on in the gardens of Eugene and in the hearts of his many friends and fam- ily.
He is survived by parents Leslie and Carl Wright of Ventura; twin brother Michael of Berkeley; sisters Ann Wright Rushing of Ventura and Marilyn Wright Corbin of Oxnard; and grandmothers Mildred Wright and Alden Mills of Ventura.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 24, 1993, in Eugene. Friends and family are invited to gather at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 1993, at 1040 Cachuma, Ventura, Calif."
