Leo Garcia Jr., 31, Ventura, died suddenly Wednesday in a Ventura hospital. The cause of death is unknown, pending a toxicology report.
Mr. Garcia was born March 13, 1957, in Ventura, and was a lifetime county resident.
He worked 10 years on oil rigs, last working for Sierra Production Service in Ventura. He was a 1975 Ventura High School graduate.
He is survived by daughters Heather Garcia and Lindsey Garcia, both of Ventura; parents Lydo and Jennie Garcia of Ventura; sister Katherine Lorenzana of Ventura; and brothers Michael Garcia of Oxnard, Danny Garcia of Oak View, Andrew Garcia, Frank Garcia, John Garcia and Jack Garcia, all of Ventura, and Thomas Larios of Oak View.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Chapel in Ventura, with Mr. Garcia’s brother, the Rev. Michael R. Garcia, officiating."
