The 1974 Flint Northern Cross Country Team won the City Cross Country Meet. The meet was held at the Swartz Creek Golf Course. Your victorious cross-country team ran from Flint Northern to the meet, ran the meet, and then ran back to Flint Northern after the meet! The other city schools wondered where the Vikings runners were when Coach Badar and other supporters drove up without us. When they realized that we had run to the course from Flint Northern they were in disbelief. After the meet, they were astounded when Coach Badar told us to run back to Flint Northern. This is another story of the 1974 State Championship Cross Country Team as we approach our 50th Anniversary.
