| Highlights of the last 50 years.: Well, you asked… My wife (Sheri from Bellflower) & I have been married for 37 years (2 children, 2 grandchildren), living in the same house in Tustin, and love to travel. We have visited all 50 states, 63 countries and all 7 continents. Highlights include 4 summer Olympics (Athens, Beijing, London and Rio), African safari, hanging with penguins in Antarctica, catching/eating Piranha on the Amazon, visiting the 3 waterfalls that all claim to be the worlds biggest (Niagara, Victoria, Iguassu), hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and sailing around the British Virgin Islands. Sheri loves football (cheerleader at Bellflower H.S.), and our present goal is to attend games at all NFL stadiums (22 down, 10 to go). I attended 4 years and graduated from USC, so I am a, sometimes obnoxious, happy alumni. I served as AYSO soccer commissioner for 3,000 children, and was chief of Indian Guides and in Indian Princesses. I thank my years at Warren H.S. and in Downey for launching me on this path, and the luck in meeting Sheri. | |
| Share a High School Memory: Football games, Bob's Big Boy, hanging with my peeps. Driving Judy Purdy around the track for Homecoming. Key Club tree plantings, racing Rob Fisher through circular driveways in NE Downey (Karen Carpenter anyone?) and late nights at El Taco on Firestone. And of course my awful singing of Grand Funk Railroad at the senior week hypnosis event, and getting served at the bar next to the Pink Carousel. Another highlight was taking 2 girls from Pious X HS streaking through Del Rio Bowling Lanes. Good times! | |
