Peter A. Kenworthy, age 49, died very unexpectedly on Friday, July 4, 2003, of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
He was born on June 5, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of James A. and Joy Anne (Bowers) Kenworthy. Peter grew up in Des Moines and later moved to Madison. He graduated from Stowe School in Stowe, Vt., where he pursued his love of skiing.
Peter worked his way up from lighting the snow making pots all the way up to assistant general manager at Devils Head Ski and Golf Resort. He loved to ski, snowboard, golf, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
On May 18, 1985, he married Shelly McKenna, the love of his life, and together they raised two wonderful sons.
He was preceded in death by, his best friend and confidante, Stacy Poole.
The family suggests donations in memory ot Peter to the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation, Avenue of Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730-9506.
