William John (Bill) Skinner

MADISON - William John Skinner, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona, following an extended illness.
He was born in Madison on Sept. 15, 1953, the son of Raymond and Elizabeth (Meyer) Skinner. Following graduation from Madison West High School, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge, when work was hard to find, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was honorably discharged due to a medical disability. He loved playing his guitar and spending time with other disabled veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Robert.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison later this spring. The family would like to thank all the community support staff that helped Bill over the years, especially Judi Green and Lorrie Hylkema.
